Favorite MESS memory: The Team Yuk camp at the 1983 Middletown contest.
Influence of MESS: It must have shown all those mom-and-dad-run competitive skateboarding kiddies from SoCal just how pathetic their scene was—probably opened a few eyes when the series got coverage in some early Transworld magazines.
Other comments: Team THC ruled, as did the Squid boys.
