Adler, Julian

Julian Adler was born 1918 and is of Baltimore, Maryland. He participated in the Maryland Senior Olympics from 1980 to 1991, winning several events.

He placed 2nd in Non-Master Pairs in 1961.

He placed 2nd in the Master Mixed Teams in 1970. His team members were: Julian Adler, Betty Adler, Dave Sachs, Sue Sachs.

The Master Mixed Teams, later renamed the Mixed Board-A-Match Teams, was a bridge event, which was contested for the Barclay Trophy until 1945. Beginning with 1946 the Master Mixed Teams was contested for the Lebhar Trophy, and in 1996 the Master Mixed Teams event was renamed the Mixed Board-A-Match Teams. beginning in the year 1946, but which was played for the Barclay Trophy. The bridge event is a four-session Board-A-Match event with two qualifying rounds and two final rounds. It is restricted to players, who have won at least 100 masterpoints. In 1969 this bridge event was played in three session.

He placed 2nd in the Master Mixed Teams in 1973. His team members were: Julian Adler, Betty Adler, David Sachs, Sue Sachs.

He placed 2nd in the Master Mixed Teams in 1978. His team members were: Julian Adler, Betty Adler, David Sachs, Sue Sachs.

Included in his many victories as a bridge player are the many regional bridge events and also the District GNOT in 1975.
