'Twas The Night Before Christmas

Epilogue To Poem
Written by: Tim DeLaney
My reply to my wife
was incisive and clear
"You must reconsider
your first lead, my dear."
"A heart can't be right,
And you must lead a spade.
But your void it is true
Means that lead can't be made."
"A club is all wrong,
It ruins the timing.
Only one lead is right,
And that lead's a diamond!"
"I'll ruff this,", I said
"And pull all the trumps.
Now that's the right way
To punish these chumps!"
"On the spades you will pitch
Your entire diamond suit.
Since I'm void, you will know
That their value is moot."
