Up until now, 21/11/03, only four divers have been beyond Sump 2 in Black Keld. Divers who want to or who are able to go into caves, are few in number. Black Keld is not the place for the casual diver, the inexperienced or even experienced 'open' water divers. Cave diving demands different skills and techniques than other forms of diving.

Most cave divers have their 'own' projects. We are hoping however, that other experienced divers will be able to join us with the exploration, surveying, photography and scientific work at this interesting site. This will depend on access arrangements being made for them. Please do not contact the landowners directly, as this will only jeopardise existing arrangements.
