Passage between Sumps 2 and 3

Cave diving fatalities are often caused when a number of things going wrong at the same time; the diver gets tangled in the line, the visibility reduces to zero, the breathing rate increases, the diver decides to cut himself free and in so doing loses the line and the way....
But there have been some accidents that have been very hard to explain... the diver is found drowned with air to spare in at least one cylinder...were the last moments panic as he sought to find the spare regulator? Did he black out? Such manoeuvres should be routine...It's vital to learn to stay calm, almost detached. Psychological and physical training, being prepared, having a back up, being 'diving fit' are essential!
