The lower slopes of Great Whernside covered with a powdering of snow. Higher up there's more snow. The climate is very changeable in this region of the UK. In the next few hours a warm front will bring milder weather, causing the snow to melt and quickly flooding active caves. Black Keld will start to flood too. Not the time to go underground!
