Black Keld Access

Keep Out! Outbreaks of Foot and Mouth disease in farm animals across the UK during 2001 led to requests for people not to go onto farmland near Black Keld. Although the farm itself did not get the disease the economic effects of the imposed restrictions have been drastic as well as for other people trying to make a living in the British countryside.

Please respect the landowners wishes. Please do not go to Black Keld. The landowners don't want any casual visitors near their farm at the present time.

Update From UK Cave Diving Group with links to sites dealing with the outbreak in regions.
