Testing the old software

Turns out my old Blogwave studio application I used for years to create The Adventures of Kermit's Pad, was broken when I updated to Leopard on my new iMac. When trying to track down the original vendor the website had disappeared. It appeared the software was not currently being supported. The only apparent problem seems to be that it broke the registration code, and the original code didn't work. Well I just stumbled on the name of the developer yesterday, which I remembered. I believe he is in China, and got him to respond to an email. He says the application isn't compatible with Snow Leopard (which I am now on) but DID supply me with a new registration key.... hmmmm. Alright, so this is the first test post. Above is a picture of me at a Cardinals-Packers pre-season game in Phoenix.

It's been a long time...

...since I posted anything. SO let me see if I can catch up with things. First off I don't know if my old blogging software is going to keep working for me since I upgraded to OSX Leopard. When I launched the old software it wanted to be registered. I don't know if I have that old info so I had to click the "demo" button which probably means it's going to time out on me if I can't find the old registration info anywhere. Vacation to the U.P. and Shasta rescue

From Oct. 4-23 Sue and I had vacation time scheduled that was originally intended for a trip to Australia. That didn't work out so we decided to travel north to Upper Michigan to rescue our 1959 Shasta trailer named "The Project" back to Tucson and also visit some old friends at the Two Hearted Star Party. The trailer had been in storage for 3 years and we decided to get everything left in there along with the trailer and bring it back to Tucson. Lorien and John were kind to us and let us borrow their Jeep Grand Cherokee for the task. After adding a hitch to the wagon in Tucson we were ready to hit the road. We didn't take that many photos but you can view the photos here.

Ridin' and Shootin'

We went to a horse event in Marana, AZ recently that combined shooting and riding. Scores were determined by a combination of accuracy shooting balloons and speed. More photos here.

Hiking the Santa Ritas

The Wedding photos

Well the party's over and the happy couple are off on their honeymoon. Dad's just left with the task of getting a few pics up on the blog. I was banned from photography by Lorien and Sue on wedding day but I was still able to sneak in a couple. Mobile Unit Assistant

Well contrary to the way I may have lead you to believe in my last post I decided to accept the offer of the Red Cross job here in Tucson. I have just completed my first week of employment with them and am still pleased with my decision. Essentially I will be in charge of getting mobile blood drives to their location and then help facilitate the drive itself as a technical assistant during the collection. When I first decided to get my CDL I certainly didn't forsee it would take me to this job. It keeps me in Tucson for the most part while offering full time employment. The people are all quite friendly and of course the mission is fulfilling. Driving motorhomes across the country is certainly fun but the ARC job pays as well with the added benefits of paid vacation/sick time (generous by today's miserable American vacation benefit standards, especially trucking companies), pension and fully paid medical insurance.
