We demonstrate. We march back. And then things start looking a bit more tense.

The Bus Riders union, as always, kept us amped up with their drums and voices.
L.A.'s steadfast civil-rights organization, advocating for justice in L.A.
Leader Eric Mann gets down. BRU expresses the thrill of using democracy.
But then there's also the sadness of why we're here. I kept feeling both.

And now the LAPD had geared up for conflict.
Weapons at the ready. The crowd got louder and louder--just one big noise.
