We recently decided to begin attending church regularly again. It had been a couple of years since we had attended and we thought it would be a good idea for the whole family to get some spiritual nourishment.

Academy of Friends 2006




JC and I were invited to the Academy of Friends party this year. We don't get out often, so it was a great chance to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones.

Christmas 2005




We spent Christmas at home this year. The house was full of activity with the boys home from school and JC's parents visiting for the holidays.

Halloween 2005




Matthew and Omar had a great Halloween this year. Trick-or-treating in Cole Valley was like being on a Hollywood set and we all enjoyed their first Halloween parade at school.

Julius Kahn Park


On Sunday, March 13, we decided to meet Guy and Trey at Julius Kahn Park -- a well-equipped park in the Presidio. Patrick and Nathan joined us and we all had a very mellow time.

Children's Fairyland




On Friday, March 10, we decided to escape to Children's Fairyland. It was an unseasonably warm day and the park which is usually all but empty was hopping with toddler activity.

Potty Training


We're now in Day 4 of potty training. Matthew and Omar have been real troupers and are getting better and better after having spent many hours on the potty.

Rhinoceros and Such



Today was a picture perfect day in San Francisco, so we decided to capitalize on the incredible weather and spend the morning at the zoo.

President's Day




President's Day turned out to be a pleasant holiday. I only found out the night before that JC would be home for the day, so we kept the day simple and mellow.

Game Night # 2




Tonight was our second official game night. The same crew that went to the Exploratorium got together for dinner and then games.

Exploratorium




Today was gay dad's day at the Exploratorium. Patrick, Chuck, Nathan, Trey, Guy and Emma joined us for some scientific exploration and fun.

Lakeshore Elementary Playground




Emma came over for a play date on Friday afternoon. We decided to take a chance on the rain and headed over to the local elementary school playground for some outdoor fun. After a good romp, the skies opened up and poured on us. We ran home as quickly as we could, but still got soaked.

Lake Tahoe




In late January, we planned a ski trip to Lake Tahoe with our good friends Martin and Robert. Unfortunately, Robert's mother became seriously ill and Robert rushed back to Ohio to be with her.

We transformed the trip into a toddler snow vacation with two other families with toddlers joining us.
