Laundry. And not much else.

Wednesday, September 25th.

Considered as an entry in a travelogue, Wednesday was pretty uneventful. But for us it served a good purpose.

We woke up late in the morning outside of the Wal-Mart where we'd parked and then drove the rest of the way up to Littleton, MA, where we'd found a KOA campground that seemed to be the right distance from the places we wanted to see in and around Boston. We checked in there around noon and spent the afternoon doing our laundry and trying to tame the growing mess in the back of our van. Later on in the day we took an excursion to nearby Lowell looking for a Goodwill store that the yellow pages had made us believe should be there. All we found, though, was an office building and a small retail store in the back, which was closed. Luckily there was a Wendy's nearby, though, so at least we got something to eat... :) Which also turned out to be our only meal that day, we realized.

For some reason the campground closes down its Rec Hall (which, among other things, houses the internet hookup) at 8:30pm, so there wasn't much to do back at the campground. So we ended the day early, postponing real adventure to another day.
