Humayun, the second Mughal emperor, now rests in relative peace in a complex with a relatively complete formal garden. Humayun shares this complex with not only his own tomb with the likes of Shah Jahan’s son Dara Shikoh, but also shares the complex with other tombs. Humanyun’s monument is important because it has the first full dome of Mughal architecture and elements that were used extensively to become part of the Mughal style.
