This page on Tyler William's very helpful Codex web-site offers an excellent survey and brief assessment of the Bible search programmes currently available.
 
OakTree Software
A superb Macintosh-based programme for sophisticated grammatical searching of biblical texts. Optional photo, chart, and map modules available. Additional text modules also available.
Gramcord Institute
Among the best of the advanced Windows-based programmes. Allows users to do advanced grammatical searches. Palm module available. Produced by the not-for-profit Gramcord Institute.
 
BibleWorks
A capable and advanced Windows programme that allows grammatical searching.
 
Silver Mountain Software
A capable and advanced Windows programme that allows grammatical searching. Formerly marketed as "Bible Windows."
Logos Research Systems
The most popular of the advanced Windows-based programmes, the Logos system offers users access to a wide variety of modules including commentaries and major reference works.
 
OnLine Bible
Available for both Macintosh and Windows, this software provides access to many translations and allows users to perform basic word-studies. The major advantage of the OnLine Bible is its affordability.

A web-based vocabulary quiz programme. Free.
This site provides a different passage of pointed Hebrew each day with accompanying lexigraphical and syntactic notes. An excellent resource for maintaining or improving your Biblical Hebrew skills. Free.
A Hebrew flashcard programme for Windows and Macintosh computers. Available as a free download from Foundation Stone. Note: this is a conservative Jewish site with an interest in polemics against Messianic Jewish Christianity. Free.
Electronic audio and video flashcards for use with iPods, other MP3 players, cell phones and computers. $32.99 US.
