Course for new foreign students.

Introductory lectures for newly arrived foreign students, 5 lectures ‡ 60

minutes in September. Associate professor Bo Gršnlund in collaboration

with Helen Welling, Jens Kvorning, Lars Gemz¿e and Karin Skousb¿ll

 

6.09-10.09 kl 15-16 in aud. 5. followed

by a 1 day excursion to ¯restad and Malmš Saturday 11.9.

 

- 6.9 Genius Loci - the Nordic Qualities of Landscape and Architecture - with

offset in the theories of Christian Norberg Schulz - and Danish modernism since 1930 (BG/KS)

- 7.9 The Development of Copenhagen (JK)

- 8.9 Utzon Architecture - visit to the Louisiana Exhibition in Humleb¾k - meeting time at the musem 16:30 (BG)

- 9.9 Danish Public Space and Built Heritage (LG)

- 10.9 The Danish and Nordic Societies and the Oresund Region (BG/KS)

- 11.9. Excursion to Orestad and Malmo. Meeting time 10.00 at the Orestad City metro station in Orestad. After sightseeing here we take the train to Malmo (it takes about 30 minutes and run every 20 minutes). Returning time to Copenhagen Central Station around 16.00 (Further instructions follow Friday)

The trip to Lousiana in Humleb¾k:

 

Departure by ferryboat/harbour bus 902 Holmen North 15:10 to Nordre toldbod (next stop). Walk to ¯sterport station.

Take the train towards Helsing¿r departing 15:41, get off at Humleb¾k station (approx. 16:09). Walk to the Louisiana Museum. Bo Gršnlund will meet you there.

The ticket is 59, 50 DKK each way if you by a single ticket. 34,00 DKK each way if you by a gray 10 trip card at 340 DKK. Please by the tickets Tuesday or Wednesday morning. At the harbour bus, you can only by single tickets, probably. The entrence to the museyum is free for students with a study card (remeber to bring your photo).

Otherwise the museum is about 65 DKK.
