The Garden (Two Year) Puzzle

Farmer Tim has been planting the same nine vegetables in a three-plot-by-three-plot square garden for the past few years. In preparation for this year’s planting, he went out to his tool shed to create a planting layout. Unfortunately, he discovered that the layouts for the last two years were missing! After a long search, he was able to track down the empty seed packets from the two years in question. On the backs of some of the packets he had scrawled notes about where the crops were planted each year. It is vital that he reconstructs these layouts, because all crops must be rotated on a multi-year basis, so that the exact same crop does not occupy the same plot of land within several consecutive years. Can you help Farmer Tim reconstruct his missing planting layouts?

One note: The clues below use directions (north, south, east, west) and the words “right next to” to compare the locations of crop plots. In all cases, these clues mean that the specified crop plots are contiguous, in that they share a common border.
