click photo to enlarge With summer at an end, I needed to get back home to Arizona. But what was I to do with Gromit? All the shipping methods I explored were frightfully expensive. In the end, he just tagged along behind our car. As you would expect, we got a lot of strange looks. I never weighed Gromit as towed, but my estimates were that the 101 ended up weighing perhaps a shade less than the loaded Saab. I avoided panic braking, sudden changes of direction and driving in the rain, and everything went fine. The Saab had plenty of power to tow Gromit easily at 70MPH.
