What is the GermanStudy List? | |||||||||||||||
GermanStudy is an open mailing list dedicated to the study of modern German. This list was inspired by the latinstudy and greekstudy mailing lists, and has been operating since 2004. To participate in the GermanStudy list, you need to sign up - see the "Subscription Management" link at the bottom of the page. You can also use this link to unsubscribe. You can choose to receive emails sent to the list individually, or in daily digests. The GermanStudy list may host several study groups at any given time. A volunteer coordinator will typically set a study group's agenda, possibly collecting and collating assignments which are then posted to the list for comparison and discussion. Some groups post individual contributions directly to the list. Anyone may join or drop a study group at any time. If you are interested in participating in a particular group, see the "Study Group" page (a link is at the top of this page), or send email to that group's coordinator for more information. If you wish to start a new group, please initiate the discussion on the list and/or contact one of the coordinators for assistance. Subscribers may post to the GermanStudy list by sending email to germanstudy (at) nxport.com. To avoid spam, email to that address from non-subscribers is reviewed by the list owner before going to the list. In addition to the study groups, the mailing list is open to general questions and discussions about the German language, as well as related topics including travel and culture. |
