unimagined futures

Developing a work approach that is adequate to the challenges ahead
a world moving toward new and different futureS

Approaches to time-life navigation

When it comes to life embedded in time there are essentially just a few kinds of approaches.

It seems sensible to examine where each of these approaches positions us—where each leaves us 10 or 15 years down the road. Is this where we want to be?

  1. Stick with what's already being done
  2. Follow the non-thinking crowd
  3. Follow an expert's prescription
  4. Follow the thinking group (much smaller that the crowd)
  5. Attempt to move forward out of existing mental patterns
  6. Explore the situation and do what makes sense
  7. Do something that goes beyond all the previous approaches

Ways to test these approaches :

Notes:

Life embedded in time: If other people can get to you, then your life is embedded in time. You are a participant or spectator in the changing social and economic movie.

Various approaches can be applied to different life areas
