Overall TLN site status and recent changes

Site is usable for creating interest profiles and work plans. It is also a usable tool kit. I can't see any of the fundamental concepts or resources changing direction. Since the basic foundation was completed, I've clipped over a thousand new articles and don't remember any that would change the site.

The background or foundation work suggested during the first exploration could take over a year. The personal strength identification, testing (confirmation through personal performance observation) and action conclusions--discussed in "Managing Knowledge Means Managing Oneself" and in Management Challenges for the 21 Century--couldn't be done in less than three years. The creation of a career work map could take a year or so. There's plenty to keep anybody busy.

Area site maps (for each of the topics on the top row of the navigation bar) have not been done yet and depend on future site development plans

There are several graphics that I haven't found the best places for: Organizational development stages; Time spans, Interest profile worksheet relationships; and the relationship between capabilities and assignments. They are linked to in several places and included in a slide show.

Some of the graphics need cosmetic revision

Articles of interest pages some time in the future. Some are already up, but no tables of contents yet. In the meantime there are work arounds in certain areas

Life area pages sometime later? This would have to be open source.

If the level of interest is high enough to warrant further enhancement, I may document my thoughts and open them up for discussion on my Yahoo Group. Suggestions welcome!

At the present time this is a prototype site. I add, remove, and redesign content based on my own unfolding comprehension of the time-life navigation © (TLN) landscape . This means that you might want to periodically revisit relevant pages.

Site design goals (beta—September 2010): My minimum goal is to provide enough "sign-posts" that serious site users don't find themselves in major negative situations because they didn't get the TLN memo. My desired goal is to provide "sign-posts" to a meaningful life—both for individuals and society. One supreme sign-post is to set your sights on achievements that really matter, that will make a difference in the world. The second half of your life is the major opportunity for full effectiveness and fulfillment.

Many of the books that were available when I first started working on what I now call "time-life navigation" have gone out of print or are hard to find. You can still use the content of the book outline pages to identify topics of interest and to search Amazon Books for topics or phrases.
