Developing a work approach that is adequate to the challenges ahead
a world moving toward new and different futureS

Concepts to daily action

Our performance in life and time is limited by the composition of our mental radar. It may also be limited by the processing—our mental patterns—of that content.

"To know and not do is to not yet know" - Leo Bescalla

Concepts to daily action is a form of calendarization that can employ thinking broad and thinking detailed. Thinking canvases may be useful.

Topic thinking guide

I suggest you focus on one topic at a time

And then first ask: What do these issues, these challenges MEAN for our organization and for me as a knowledge worker, a professional, an executive?

Once you have thought this through, ask:

What ACTION should our organization and I, the individual knowledge worker and/or executive, take to make the challenges of this topic into OPPORTUNITIES for our organization and me?

AND THEN GO TO WORK!

The topic referred to above can be elevated by using the ideas in thinking broad and thinking detailed to get to the highest strategic level, mind mapping some alternatives, and then possibly re-perceiving the topic

Reading

Dense reading and Dense Listening

What did you learn? How can you put that knowledge to work?

Most books are too detailed. Publisher's have a desired word count to make worthy of publication. Figure out what's the core stuff that you can use (that can be effective). To begin this imagine yourself in an unfolding world and how you touch (will touch) that world. If what you do doesn't touch other people then what's the benefit. And what's the long term. Also you never know who you're going to work for in the future.

This page presents an overview of a system for getting from concept to daily action. It is a blueprint that can be adapted to your needs and ambitions. This system is part of a work approach that is adequate to the challenges ahead.
