If the current "strategic system" was roughly adequate, would fraudulent accounting (why do they find it necessary to cheat), organization crisis or walking dead stories appear in the news? Why in a growing economy does this happen? Why does it happen in organizations spending billions on research and development, all the popular activities, and brimming with MBAs and Ph.D.s? What does this say about their mental terrain maps and work approaches? Are these people just stupid and willfully trying to be stressed, frustrated, and fail? Are the CEOs of these organizations purposefully destroying their own wealth and reputations? Why in organizations with hundreds of thousands of employees can't a qualified CEO successor be found? Why does Warren Buffett essentially avoid technology companies? Why in a growing economy does it seem to get more challenging rather than less challenging?
Although it may not be obvious, there is a direct connection to: poverty; crime; financial stress on the infrastructure, state and local budgets (schools), and the national park system; pension system underfunding; health care system inadequacies; and terrorism among other things.

How permanent would that success be?
