Another wonderful day is here.  I had a whirlwind weekend and I am still doing too much.  The Sermon today at Kwanzaa was to shut your door and take a rest.  I needed to hear that. Cassidy has made the house beautiful more and more.

Sunday Gratitude

 I have a great roommate and he is sick right now, but he is taking care of himself.    I dropped Steven his coffee and then spent the rest of the day working on Web stuff.  

...I have really been learning more about letting God take care of his work and doing mine.  

OK, what a wonderful life and what a wonderful day.  Yesterday I did a lot of things that were just joyous.  I have a great roommate and he is sick right now, but he is taking care of himself.  I dropped Steven his coffee and then spent the rest of the day working on Web stuff.  In the evening I went with a  sponsee to a Thursday meeting.  There was a guy there who just got back from an eight day bender.  It was a great reminder of what use would do for me.

Cassidy's flowers continue to astound me.

Thinking

I have really been learning more about letting God take care of his work and doing mine.  It is a lesson I seem to have to relearn and relearn.  Thank Higher Power it is Friday. I am so blessed.

A Vibration of Abundance

When I am in my web mode, people just do not understand to get out of the way.    I get so focused on the web that people can talk directly to me and I do not hear them.  

...The program and my faith tradition both teach that the belief and the focus of your life is a choice.  ...  You focus on abundance and joy and that is what you will get.  

What a day, I played on the WL Hall site for the major portion of the day yesterday.  I also cleaned up some final items on the Unity Intergroup Overeaters site.  In the meantime, Cassidy and his friend stayed here at the condo and generally were out of my way.  When I am in my web mode, people just do not understand to get out of the way.  I get so focused on the web that people can talk directly to me and I do not hear them.  I am proud of both sites and they are happy with me at the organizations.  

In the evening I appeared with Dan Chouinard at the Loring Park Singalong in the park building.  I love this gig and it occurs monthly.  From now on it will be on the Second Thursday of the month.  I think they could do more with public relations, but I have fun whatever the audience.  I came back home and had a relaxing evening for the balance of the evening.

Thinking

The program and my faith tradition both teach that the belief and the focus of your life is a choice.  If you are constantly whining and complaining that you will get a raw deal, you will.  You focus on pain and suffering and you will get pain and suffering.   You focus on abundance and joy and that is what you will get.  We fail to see the power of the mind.  It really is mind over matter.  If I have a vibration of abundance, I have a vibration of abundance.  I am so very very blessed.

Blessing in Everything

Somehow yesterday I did not get much of anything done and I was so tired that I only played fiddle at Steven's Glitter Knitter Jam for about an hour and then had to leave. 

...He went very crazy last night and it took Cass and I about an hour to calm him down.  

It is a beautiful Tuesday morning.  Somehow yesterday I did not get much of anything done and I was so tired that I only played fiddle at Steven's Glitter Knitter Jam for about an hour and then had to leave.

I spent a bit of time in the night dealing with a friend who is not doing well.  He is imagining that the world is against him and consequently everything is about him.  He went very crazy last night and it took Cass and I about an hour to calm him down.  It is so very sad.  He is in his own self imposed prison and cannot see that for what it is.  Very very sad.  I have him high in my prayers.  God cast your light on him.

I am so blessed, even when things are  very rough and treacherous for me, I am blessed.  At Minnesober this weekend, an alanon speaker shared their wisdom, "There is a blessing in everything."  I needed to hear that because sometimes when I get self centered, I fail to look for the blessings.  Now I am back on track because of the wisdom that she shared.  I am so blessed.

I have to make sure that my taxes are OK and I hope that the accountant will have time to check them before the deadline which is Wednesday.  

...The Dems have a very exciting ticket and my belief is that they will actually put the country back on track. 

Here I am at 6:22 in the morning, tired, happy, challenged.  I just got back from taking my friend, Aaron to work.  He is a blessing in my life.  I am back at the condo and my roommate and a friend are being a bit contentious.  His friend just likes to live with controversy.  I am very happy with my roomie.  He has made this place so beautiful.  I will take a coffee to Steven shortly, well at 8 AM.  Then it will be a strong work day.  I am plugging away at the WL Hall site.  They keep adding and changing and it is a challenge to keep up with their changes.  I am afraid that I will have to totally redesign the site in CSS to keep up with them.  It just means more hourly for me and that I like.  I have to make sure that my taxes are OK and I hope that the accountant will have time to check them before the deadline which is Wednesday.  Wednesday is also Property Tax day and I will have more than enough to cover the taxes that day.  Hoorah.  

The smearing political ads are getting on my nerves.  I pray that we will have a big win and throw out the current administration.  The Dems have a very exciting ticket and my belief is that they will actually put the country back on track.

...On the other hand, I am warm and happy and have a beautfiul home and am sober and that is a miracle.  

Here is is a rainy and kind of glum Sunday afternoon.  I went to church but did not play, the sound system was just not set up to connect me.  So I sat in the congregation and just listened.  I wished I could have played, it it my alternative high.  God just didn't see it in his plan to have me play today.  There are a couple of guys I care a lot about that are avoiding me.  Where did that come from?  I had the support of Aaron who said that perhaps it was important for them to not be in touch with me.  He suggested that I stop contacting them and I am going to take the suggestion.

On the other hand, I am warm and happy and have a beautfiul home and am sober and that is a miracle.  I communicated with Steven and he is in a good mood today, miracle of miracles.  That is super.  So I am just watching TV and preparing for a good meeting at Slim House this evening.

I am still not learning to just let God do his thing.  I am going to back way off with these guys.  I am so blessed.

Back and home and needing to grow even more

Here it is, a bit of a time since I last wrote.  I have been very very busy.  It is beginning to be fall here and I am getting back on the horse of blogging regularly, even if it just is for me.  Today a friend totally blew up on me.  He thinks I am massively codependent and just not taking care of myself.  

I don't think that is the case, well, I could take better care of myself. 

The Fall is coming in stronger and stronger and I feel like I have a new lease on life.

I have had a good nights sleep here at The Rock Inn, near Halifax England.  The water is heating for coffee and I am in the centering process and it is 8 AM.  The place is beautiful. The people are marvelous.  I am getting more excited about knitting.  Generally it is a fantastic time and place.  I am a bit removed from Stephen  unlike ever before.   I am helping and documenting the event however he seems more remote.

Thinking

I am growning older.  I get very tired here.   Some say it could be the jet lag but I think it is a general state.  I am going more "downstream" these days.  What will be will be.  I am judgeing less and enjoying life more.  The idea that I would be less of a busybody and more of a lover is growning strong.  Ghandi, Jesus, The Prophet, spent less time criticising and more time loving and that is what I am being led to do.
