Stubbington
Green Runners won the final race of the season at Staunton
Park but Farnham Runners with 4 race wins under their belt
coming into the final race became our Division’s
Champions with Stubbington a close 2nd.
The
National Final, supported by Team Tours Travel, is on
Sunday 19th April at Greetland, Halifax, Colderdale HX4
with entries due by 15th April.
The
league has 19 running clubs who compete in 6 multi-terrain
events held between October and March. The Division
Champions represent Hampshire at the National Finals in
March. There are some 250 runners at each race and a team
comprises 5 men and 3 women.
The League has grown from strength to strength over the
years and there is a considerable amount of friendly
rivalry between the member clubs. The results of the
2008-2009 season are on other pages.
The details of the race programme are decided at an annual
meeting of the Club Representatives as close as possible to
the 1st Wednesday in September.
ANNUAL MEETING 2009-2010
Will be held on either Wednesday 2nd or 9th September at
8.00 pm at 17 Kimbers, Petersfield, GU32 2JL. (date to be
confirmed).
