Saturday Off
Today was my first Saturday off (not including
holidays or vacations) in about a decade. At the nursery I always worked
weekends, and since the 2nd job I've worked about every day since Oct '04. It
was a nice day.
I started off doing a bit of climbing at the gym. It was nice and empty so I didn't have to wait to try problems. I was comfortable enough in try some that I wouldn't if there were a large group around. So that should help me develop a bit faster if I can attempt those that I cannot complete.
Then I went to help out Evan take some photos of some previous designs he's worked. Of course, that didn't work out quite right. Either there was construction going on so nothing could be seen or the people in the house were in the front yard so I felt a little odd snapping shots of their house.
Got home from that and took a nap. Then I went to my parent's with Felix for a Memorial Day Weekend dinner. Got a few loads of laundry done there.
All in all, a good day off. Tomorrow I'm going to go on the loop in the morning and then head off to the Dodger/Cub game in the afternoon. Hopefully we won't spend the same amount of time getting and going there as the game itself.
