Third Awakening? Probably Not. Extrapolation? Most likely.I heard President Bush's speech this past friday
and he made a comment on how he feels people are praying today than in
1994.
In 1994 when he initially ran for Governor he's have people come up and say they're praying for him. Now he says a much larger number of people are praying for him. Well, in 1994 there were about 17 million people in Texas. Today there are about 295 million people in the U.S. That's about 17 times more people. Simple math tells us that he should be hearing it about 17 times more often. And one other thing. If I were religious I'd sure as hell be praying for him to start making better decisions (he is the decider you know) as those he's made thus far seem to be pretty horrible all round. Dear Lord, Please let George W. Bush have some of your infinite wisdom. Work through him to stop the slow decent (not so slow anymore) into chaos. Wait, you're the same God that "Intelligently Designed" us to eat, breathe and speak out of the same hole? Wouldn't it have been a better idea to separate those functions so that we don't choke to death? Nevermind. Election day is 51 days away and 2008 doesn't seem that far anymore. We'll be fine on our own. Just keep him from making any more monumentally bad decisions, okay? Deal? Promise? Thanks! You're a pal. Bob Posted: Sun - September 17, 2006 at 08:02 PM | | | | |
