Daniel Powter's Great Bad Day
It's hard to ignore the single we hear all over the radio...Bad Day, by Daniel Powter.
This is one of those songs that sneaks in to your iTunes library when you download the latest Song of the Week (just because it's free), then you listen to it and realize that it's a pretty good song. Then you hear radio pick it up a few weeks later, and you really feel like you beat the system in some kind of sappy way.
Soon, you start reading some other reviews of the full album and decide to give it a shot. Besides, $9.90 is pretty cheap, particularly since you already got a great song for free. In a world of music stars developed by producers, it's nice to see someone succeed on pure talent...singing, songwriting, and musicianship.
