Brennan



Brennan Hawkins is 11.
He is a cub-scout.
He "Thinks differently".
He is "a little slow".
He is not good with directions.
His parents told him to stay away from strangers.

He went on a cub-scout trip to a climbing wall.
He was suppose to be with a buddy at all times.
His buddy left him.
He got lost.

Searchers went looking.
Spent 4 days trying to find him.
Finally found him.

Where it went wrong:
Most people, in this situation, would have walked down hill -
So while the searchers were looking down hill from the climbing wall, Brennan had walked up hill ... five miles!
Most people would have aided the searchers in finding them - Brennan hid from the searchers afraid they would try to steal him.
Brennan's family - and the media - failed to inform anyone that he, well, was "a little slow" and "thought differently".

It's just another example where Political Correctness has outweighed common sense.

I'm gonna be sick.
