The end is near!

The end of the world is coming and it's closer than you think. How do I know? I'll tell ya.

All my life California has been known for it's quakes. Since I have lived here in Maryland - we have had shitty weather. Ok, sometimes it's crappy. Sometimes, we actually have shitty and crappy together making a shrappy day.

Take this year. One day it's freezing, one day it's nice, the next day it's ice/rain and the next it's just gray. You get the picture.

This week California is awash in rain and we have been having, what I consider for February in Maryland a rather easy go of it. We did have a sudden and unannounced snowfall earlier this month but nothing compared to what we typically get. I was sitting in the office when my wife AIMed me with just two words. It's snowing! This on a day that started out at about 50 degrees.

Nothing really out of the ordinary. But this morning at work we felt a bit of a rumble. With an airport nearby we thought perhaps there had been another tragedy - some small plane landing on someone's house (heaven forbid). Luckily we were wrong - it was only an earthquake. A 2.0 on the Richter scale, to be followed by another earthquake a bit further west and unfelt by us in the office.

Did you catch that? California is awash and Maryland is having earthquakes! Grab the kids - bring in the cat - pray for God's sake for the anti-christ must be on his way!

Update 24 February 2005

Today, we had snow!

Update 11 March 2005

Ok, really - this isn't natural. One day last week it was nearly 60 degrees when I left for work at 7:45 AM and then when I went to take lunch (noon) it was snowing. If the big guy would just throw in a couple frogs and locust now I think we would about have it all covered.
