What the ... ? #8: Nose and Ear Hair Groomer
The other day I was surfing though Amazon.com and I thought I'd check out my recommendations list. They usually fill it with a bunch of crap I have no interest in but every now and then there's a good thing.
I'm not interested in a Nose and Ear Hair Groomer, just so you know.
What struck me, though, is that little bit I've circled for your convenience.
Yup, apparently Amazon thinks people who've read the Narnia series have long nose hairs. Or ear hairs. Or both.
If that's not a "What the ...?" moment, I don't know what is.

Hundred Percent Juice
Low quality
High quality (iPod compatible)
So much for laundry.
Today my toilet overflowed and my shower also had fluid bubbling up from it's drain.I was not in the bathroom at the time.
One frantic call to maintenance later a crew came out with some machinery. Apparently the whole building (12 apartments) is backed up all the way to the manhole cover. The equipment they brought can't undo the blockage, so they're turning off the water and calling a plumber.
Joy.

Thump Thump
Some thoughts about the origins of the noises coming from my upstairs
neighbors' apartment...- Bowling.
- Moving furniture. Every day.
- Practicing for the Olympic Gymnastic Team.
- Digging for gold.
- Digging to hide gold.
- Cracking open walnuts by dropping large rocks on them.
- Indoor backyard wrestling.
- Installing a new carpet. Every day.
- Informing me that I'm typing too loud on my computer and I need to turn it down.

New Avatars
I was bored (Ok, so I was procrastinating...), so I made a few new icons for your (and by "your," I mean "my") blogging pleasure. Enjoy.

Your Corporate Network and the Forces of Darkness
I was listening to this short story mp3 (WARNING: file is 12 MB and NSFW due to language) from Escape Pod and I laughed and laughed. Remember that Undead Help Desk email from way back? This is better.
If you like science fiction short stories you should really subscribe to Escape Pod's RSS feed. My favorite story so far is the Charlie Brown parody they did for Halloween.
Happy Birthday, Gretchen!
I'd like to take a moment to wish the older of my two younger sisters (what?) a happy 26th birthday. You're OLD now, Gretchen! OOOOOOOOOOOLD!
