Background

Steve has been a research chemist and organic coatings consultant for several firms and has owned a paint manufacturing plant.

He retired in May of 2000 after 33 years as a secondary educator teaching in the areas of physical science, chemistry, earth science, nuclear science, marine science, and computers. He has done substitute teaching at area high schools and colleges and was a member of the team at UW-Stout teaching the unique summer program for science teachers "Paranormal Science".

Through the years he has owned and operated a sporting goods business and for more than four decades has been a commercial, portrait and wedding photographer.

He is currently on the Board of Directors for Wisconsin Division C (high school) and concentrates his efforts on being Director of Events.

Steve is also involved with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks having achieved the Local Lodge honor of Past Exalted Ruler, Past Trustee President, and the Grand Lodge distinction of Past District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. He is currently Secretary of Lodge #665.

Current Vocations: For three summers I was an instructor at UW-Stout in the Summer Program for Science Teachers. I do spend much time visiting Wisconsin schools helping with their Science Olympiad programs.
