Out of Control Tour
The Clash go Back to Basics - European Tour

cdr - very poor - Sound 2 - 87min - unknown gen? - 27 tracks

A poor recording that suffers from some over copying, subsequent noise and over amplification, distance. It is listenable just, destracted by those around the taper.

The vocals are by far the clearest, then the lead guitar. The remainder is a blur. This often circulates as Dublin the 13th March 1984 as well but it is in fact from Belfast. At the two Dublin gigs during Rock the Casbah, Joe namechecks Dublin with "even here in Dublin". At Belfast he says nothing. The mistitled Dublin one has more distortion and is louder. Thecorrectly dated one is much duller, quieter with little distortion.

this gig never took place. the band were scheduled to play Espace Ballad on the 23rd Feb. but this had to be re-sheduled to March 1st as a national lorry drivers strike blocked the trucks carrying the gear at Calais. Tickets stubs however stiff carry the 23rd date for a price of 80F which would have been about £6 at the time.
