Air Canada to charge for luggage
Given I spent the last week in travel status, this story just annoys me.
Travellers flying with Air Canada are going to have to fork over a little more to bring a second suitcase, the airline announced Friday.
The Montreal-based airline said passengers with Tango and Tango Plus tickets bringing two bags on flights within Canada and to the U.S. will be charged a $25 fee on flights after July 15, 2008. Until now, Tango and Tango Plus allowed travellers to check two bags at no additional cost.
Add this to their refusal to take pets and the fact that they reduced the maximum size for checked bags, (and the fact that even then the bags don't always end up on the planes), and Air Canada has become a real nuisance to fly, which of course is why I avoid them as much as possible.
