Simulator : simulates treatment machine

Wires : represent the radiation filed of treatment

Shutters : shows the whole filed of view

x-ray tube – produces Kv radiation

TFD   –   target to film distance (use 10cm marks on film and measure the distance between the 10cm marks.   That measurment is the TFD.   (If its 10cm then it = 100cm))

Things that should be on a film :

• Date
• Patients name
• Filed of view
• Doctor’s initials

CT SCAN – shows transverse cuts

• Shows organs, bone, muscle, fat
