Here are some of my favourite photos. I hope you enjoy them, as much I as I enjoyed taking them and being there if they were taken of me.
Photos
Puerto Vallarta
Lovely spot just waiting for some sun worshippers. This was on the beach at Barcelo Mismaloya, just south of Puerto Vallarta. A wonderful all-inclusive hotel.
Canucks vs. Oilers
The Canucks break out of their zone during the first period of their December 15 game against Edmonton.
Burmis tree
One of the most photographed trees in Western Canada - the Burmis tree in the Crow's Nest Pass (july 07). It is named after the coal mining town of Burmis. The limber tree, which marks the eastern edge of the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, has been around for 700 years. The Burmis tree died in the late 1970s and in 1998 actually toppled over. The people of the Crow's Nest Pass propped the tree back up.
Outstanding in my field
Here I am among the canary grass on the family farm at Fernie (July 07). Canary grass can easily grow over six feet and you can get lost among the tall grasses.
Hang on
Ice climbers near the Columbia Ice Fields (March 25/07). These guys were enjoying a morning climb just off the highway south of the glacier.
Just needs a tune up
Yes, this truck has been sitting for some time. This is one of my dad's original farm trucks. It has been parked on the family farm for, well a long time
Let the sun shine in
Here I am at perched on the Contintental Divide at Sunshine Ski Resort near Banff. The elevation here is about 9,000 feet above sea level and, as you can see, it was a wonderful day.
Eureka - I found it
Here I am just under the summit at Eureka Peak. This is about 5,000 feet above sea level. It doesn't show in this photo, but to the top part of the waterfall is a sheer cliff drop. If you walk up the Eureka Peak trails, they will take you to the top side of this cliff. It was a great day of hiking.
Snowman of the Cariboo
Here I am after cleaning the driveway. Who says winter isn't fun in the Cariboo?
Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo
Singer opens the Williams Lake Indoor Rodeo Performance on Sunday. I was, by chance, in the right spot for this photo and luckily, I had the right exposure (ISO 800 with 160th of a second @ F4) as the image was only there for a moment. Sometimes the best shots just happen.
