I dropped into bed late after getting home from Philly last Saturday night. Everyone (all six kids and my wife, Stacy) was asleep.... and soon... I was too. Early in the morning, I heard three-year-old Sadey pull herself onto Stacy's side of the bed. Sadey snuggled in comfortably next to Stacy--holding her blanky and sucking her thumb.

I heard Stacy say, "Your dad's home now, do you want to go over and lie by him?"

I heard Sadey pull her thumb out of her mouth and ask, "Did he brush his teeth yet?"

Too Much TV?

"Oh Sadey, you have diarrhea! Does your tummy hurt?" Stacy asked.

"I'm fine mom. You just need to buy me some Pedialyte."

Later that same day....

Ten-year-old Aubrey was playing with Sadey by the sandbox. Aubrey asked, "We're done with our pretend cake. What do you want to make next?"

Sadey promptly replied, "Let's make Baked Alaska!"
