Chapter Profile

The chapter sponsors a wide range of programs and activities through the year. These are some of the highlights:
bulletThere is a monthly social event for members, spouses and guests. Normally, it is a dinner meeting held on the third Tuesday of the month at the Officers Club of the Cape May Coast Guard Training Center or at a local restaurant. The evening begins with a  cocktail hour, and after dinner there is usually an address by a guest speaker on a topic of interest to the members.
bulletA cocktail party is held shortly before Christmas
bulletOne of our summer meetings is dedicated to some type of outing. The other month's dinners are normally late afternoon BBQs at the Harborview Club of the Cape May Coast Guard Training Center.
bulletWeekly on Wednesdays chapter members meet for lunch at the Avalon Links Golf Club, Rt. 9, Swanton, NJ. Reservations are not required and members may order from the menu and receive individual checks.
bullet We attend Happy Hour once a month (usually the fourth Friday of the month) at the Oceanside Club, USCG Training Center, Cape May, NJ.
bulletWe are deeply involved in promoting state and national legislation in the interest of service members, active duty, retired and former, enlisted, officers, their dependents and survivors.
bulletOur personal affairs committee is always standing by to "take care of our own."
bulletA monthly news letter, containing interesting and useful information , is distributed to each member.

The chapter also undertakes community service projects such as supporting the annual Thanksgiving Food Basket Driver for Coast Guard families.

Working directly with the Coast Guard Training Center, the Chapter aids in the recognition of the Outstanding Junior Officer of the year, Outstanding Enlisted Person and Civilian for each Quarter and the Outstanding Enlisted and Civilian person of the year.

You are cordially invited to join our chapter and participate in our activities. This is an excellent opportunity to renew old friendships and make new ones. Chapter dues are only $10.00 a year.
