Busy at work...but looking forward to having this weekend off.

The DVD has three videos on it for Losing My Mind, Don't Drop Bombs and So Sorry, I Said - all of which I've never seen.

Well, as usual, it's been getting busier and busier at work. A lot of late nights, weekends and what not. The project I'm working on has just got to it's Beta milestone - so we're in the home stretch. The game goes GOLD in late April. So, for now, there's a lot of bug assigning, fixing, localization tasks and so on.

In the meantime, Marc and I just bought our tickets to Spain for a trip we're taking in May. I can't wait. I haven't been in over 16 years! Too long. We're going to go to Madrid for a few days and then head down to Seville where we'll meet up with longtime friend Carmelita. She's offered to let us stay at her place which happens to be a new apartment. Maybe we'll be able to head to Chipiona as well. She has a beach house down there and I remember spending many fun summers there with her and her family.

I picked up the much anticipated Daxter for the PSP. WOW! They are doing things on the PSP that SONY hasn't allowed other developers to do - at least initially with the first batch of games. Daxter seamlessly streams in the levels off the UMD, much like as in the Jak games on the PS2. What a treat this is because load times on the PSP can be excruciating.

And recently, I purchased some pretty cool CD+DVD sets:

I'm not some flamin' Liza fan, but this album is kind of different. It was produced in 1990 or so by the Pet Shop Boys and had a mixture of dance songs and down-tempo ballads. Anyway, this reissue adds the extended mixes of three singles: Losing My Mind, Don't Drop Bombs and Love Pains. I had the twelve inch singles to Losing My Mind and Love Pains, but never heard the extended version of Don't Drop Bombs. The DVD has three videos on it for Losing My Mind, Don't Drop Bombs and So Sorry, I Said - all of which I've never seen. Plus the packaging is deluxe. The orginal CD packaging had only a front and back picture. Nothing was really included on the inside. All in all, very cool.

Great album! I hadn't purchased this before so it's great to finally own it. The US Deluxe release adds the track Beautiful. The DVD has a few videos, documentaries and random animations. Also, very cool.

At first glance, it's another Best Of Blondie. The compilation is decent for sure and even includes "Good Boys" from the Curse of Blondie. It's the DVD that's worth the price of admission here. It features a retrospective of videos from the entire Blondie library including the aforementioned "Good Boys", the classic "Rapture" and the rarely seen "Island of Lost Souls." Blondie has always been one of my favorite bands.
