Having fun with 3D

I've finally been doing some 3D stuff using Eovia's Carrara for the game I'm working on. I'm doing the menus and UI so all the 3D is pre-rendered and reduced in color.

I've finally been doing some 3D stuff using Eovia's Carrara for the game I'm working on. I'm doing the menus and UI so all the 3D is pre-rendered and reduced in color. But I've been using it more than ever before and am having a blast. I even learned how to use the vertex modeler and bones for simple animations. Up until this time, I exclusively used the spline modeler - so it's fun learning more and more about the program. I have a lot to learn still, but I've been able to get the results I've wanted up until now.

Simple "animation" of Small Gems.

Simple "animation" of Large Gems.

Unrolling a paper to reveal an image. This one was fun to do because I used bones and the vertex modeler. I drove me crazy for a day or so but I'm really pleased with the final results. There are 42 images like this in the final game.

An "animation" of a simple Herb.
