Spectral Data • Summer 2009

Below are links to the 1H-NMR spectra–in pdf format–collected during the four projects. Each student is responsible for downloading, printing and analyzing their NMR spectra. Be sure to include this data in your lab reports. Also, bring a copy of all your data to class to discuss.

If you would like your spectra reprocessed (i.e. with better peak picking or integration), email Chad with your request.

If you would like to obtain a spectra of a new sample, prepare the sample and give it to your TA.

The filenames follow the general format:

Starting Materials

Below are links to several starting materials used in each of the four projects. Compare the signals in these starting materials to those in your product. Which signals would you not expect to see in the product? What new signals would you expect to see? Which would you expect to be at similar positions (chemical shifts)? The 1H-NMR spectra of some solvents and reagents encountered in your syntheses have also been included since these appear to be common impurities present in several of your spectra.

If there is a starting material, reagent or solvent you'd like to see on this list, please prepare a sample and give it to your TA.
