Welcome to CHEM 232
The website for CHEM 232 will be under continual construction during the Spring 2009 semester. Please be patient during this time while I add and update new pages and fix the bugs as I find them. Currently, some of the resources available–including the syllabus, OWL instructions, i>clicker instructions and the schedule–can also be found in the handout that was distributed during the first day of class (Organic Chemistry I. Getting Started.) You may download a pdf version of that handout from the File Sharing page. There are also resources which may only be accessed through this website–they will not be made available in lecture or discussion sections–including: lecture slides, OWL statistics, i>clicker statistics, compiled TA information, exam curves, grade statistics and the blog. While the blog will function primarily as an announcement board, I may also use this platform to discuss homework questions and lecture topics that student may be having trouble understanding as well as potential exam material. To keep up to date, check the blog often; even better, get the blog as an RSS feed on your web browser. Note that the blog also serves the organic laboratory courses. Click on the "232" category if you would only like to view entries specific to CHEM 232.
CHEM 232: Organic Chemistry I
