"Show-Me," Indeed

FARMINGTON, MO - Like
Bill Cosby used to prove time after time on television, kids really do say the
darndest things. Take, for example, this vignette from a school we visited this
week.
When we visit elementary schools, we present
workshops to groups of children before our performances. Brian and Ben give a
presentation in which they discuss different syles of music. At the school in
question, Ben asked the class, "Who can tell us something about
jazz?"
A little girl no older than nine
years old raised her hand and offered, "In jazz music, sometimes there are lap
dances."
I'm not really sure there's
anything else to say about this episode, as it speaks volumes on its
own.
