Celebrity Sighting


I was walking...when I heard a little boy behind me say, "Hey, he was in Opera Iowa!"



Sunday afternoon, Katie and I were at a Target in West Des Moines. I was walking down one of the aisles when I heard a little boy behind me say, "Hey, he was in Opera Iowa!" I turned around and greeted the boy and his mother. We had visited his school about ten days beforehand, and he still remembered. After our short conversation, I went to find my wife to tell her all about my first experience of being recognized in public. It was quite a thrill.

Katie and I drove out today with the troupe to Sioux City, where we will be performing all week. We arrived early this evening after our afternoon show in Underwood, so we haven't yet had a chance to get our local bearings. Our hotel here, sadly, isn't blessed with Wi-Fi access, so things may be a little touch and go while we are here.
