Letter from Robert Miller (son of Andrew) to Ebenezer Miller, 18 Oct 1822: "Uncle Miller's family are all well and doing well. Joseph lives [unreadable] and is settled about a mile & half below me[Tensas Parish]. He has a claim to the land he lives on, has three negroes, a fine Stock of every thing about, and is doing well.
Margaret Hughes to Ebenezer Miller 13 Apr 1826:"Sister Sally Miller's family was very well the last time I heard from them. All her children is married but her youngest son, Ebenezer. He still lives with his Mother. James also lives with his Mother, but he lived with his father-in-law last year. He married a girl of the name of Ann Foster.
Stephen and Joseph married sisters, their names were Sassers."
Hibernia Hughes to Susan Miller 26 Sep 1833: "We have had no very late account from our Louisiana relations. The last time we heard, they were all well. One of Cousin Joe's little boys is dead (Benjamin) I believe. " Hibernia was wrong, since Benjamin were mentioned in the 1837 will of Jane Williams.
Will dated 8 Jun 1837 of Jane Williams (late widow of John Haygate deceased and now wife of Benjamin Williams) "all real and personal estate to my following nieces and nephews in fee simple share and share alike equally to each of them namely Benjamin R. Miller and Pickens E. Miller minor sons of Joseph Miller now deceased. Sarah Ann Miller and Mary Jane Miller minor children of Stephen C. Miller deceased and Emily Jane Smith minor daughter of my deceased sister Mary Smith my said nephews and neices bing five in number as above named. And I nominate and appoint my Brothers Ebenezer Miller and James Miller executors of this my last will and testament..."
