Death Date probably 19 Nov 1850. James R. Williams rendered bill to Robert M. Simmons estate for "services rendered in taking care of premises and property belongs to the estate" from Nov. 19 1850 to Feb 1, 1851, and then from Feb1 to Mar 1.286
Note that the death date coincides with that on the tombstone for Robert Simmons his father in the Morris Cemetery, indicating that perhaps Raulston put up a new marker over the son rather than the father. Robert Simmons the father died prior to the settlement of his estate in 1844.
Robert Simmons listed in 1850 Census of Washington Parish as 61 living with Elizabeth Simmons 17.
