Letter dated September 10, 1906 from Mrs. George Miller to Mr. W. D. Anderson, Tupelo, MS (original in possession of Bob Thompson):
"To show my children's right as legal heirs send thes additional facts: Col Hugh R. Miller died July 19th 1863 from wounds received at Gettysburg. His wife, Mrs. S. G. Miller died Jan 6th 1864, leaving only two sons, George and Edwin H. Miller. Edwin H. Miller died Jan. 7 1891 without heirs. George Miller, my husband, died Feb. 1, 1897 leaving wife and ten children." |
