In father George Reid's will: "I give & bequeath to my Daughter Margaret Reid, wife of Hugh Reid of the District aforesaid (Ninety Six). Planter, my Negroe Wench, nam'e Senna, with the Increase of the s.d. Negroe wench."
Tombstone inscription in CCT notes: "Scared to the memory of Margaret Reid wife of Hugh Reid who departed this life Dec. 27th 1818 in the 64th year of her age. She was the genuine mistress The faithful wife The affectionate Mother and the humble Christian [NOTE: This inscription was the source of my mother's]
