I had to take a picture of the guys this morning before we walked out the door for school. John and James had just come off a succesful potty trip and they had their new just-their-size backpacks on. I felt like I was forgetting something because I only had to carry my own bag.
The potty-going is going! We've had a few accidents here and there, maybe one or two per boy per day. But I just throw it in the washing machine. I've really been impressed with those two. George isn't really interested right now. I think he's too busy and has too much on his mind to worry about the potty and undies.
On the way home from school today we saw a dog that looked like my parents' old dog, Morgan, whom the boys don't remember but they've seen pictures of. John said, "He's gone." And George said, "He died. He's in Heaven." Whoa, Nelly! I had no idea they knew all this. Then James said, "He's not coming back to this earth?" I decided to wait on the theory of reincarnation. Then when we were in the Chick-fil-A line (another healthy meal by mom), George noticed the cardboard cows they used to have on the building were gone. "They died," he said. "The cows died, Mama."
Too much transcendental thinking for this woman after a week of potty-training. I only cooked one night this week, but I don't care. I can't do it all. Will and I are going out with friends tonight and I CANNOT wait. No real news, except a quick potty report, a cute picture, and a wish to you for a happy weekend! Enjoy! |
