Heron Cove is a community of 43 single family unattached homes in the Baywinds community.  Heron Cove is one of the eleven active communities in Baywinds.

The Baywinds site plan shows that Heron Cove is located on the north eastern side of the Baywinds community. There are two lakes associated with the Heron Cove community. One of the two lakes is shared with Pelican Cove, our neighbor to the north east.  On the southern side and western side of Heron Cove, our lake is shared with Club Baywinds, The Estates, and Sapphire Cove. The houses that do not back onto lakes are backed onto the wetland preserves.  The lake that is shared with the Club Baywinds, The Estates, and Sapphire Cove is the largest lake in the Baywinds community.

The Heron Cove community, like other communities in Baywinds, is governed by two (2) shared documents and one (1) document just for our community.  The shared documents are Baywinds Community and Club Baywinds.  As homeowners in Heron Cove, we agreed with these documents when we purchased our homes. 

The residents of Heron Cove have an annual Member Meeting.  We have three (3) Directors on the Board that are voted into office at the annual Member Meeting by the owners of Heron Cove. 

The three board members meet each month to conduct Heron Cove business.  All homeowners and residents are welcome at these meetings.  Please contact the secretary to be placed on the Heron Cove community’s agenda for the Board or Member meetings.

Copies of approved minutes of the Heron Cove’s Board of Director’s and Member meetings are available through the secretary. The Heron Cove Board of Directors have their meeting on the last Wednesday of each month at 7 PM at Club Baywinds.

Heron Cove community, as part of Baywinds, offers its residents and homeowners a beautiful landscaped active adult community.  Additional landscaping and screened in areas can be added to the Heron Cove owner’s property, with approval of Heron Cove’s Architectural Committee.  Homeowners are required to complete and submit for approval an Application for Alterations Form for changes to the outside of their homes.  Please contact your board members or the Heron Property Management for further information.

As Heron Cove homeowners, we are members of Club Baywinds.  Club Baywinds has a charming resort ambiance and is enhanced by facilities with a stage, and include a grand ballroom, rooms for card game players, billiards, multimedia events, arts and crafts, exercise, aerobics, and a library/ computer center. The club offers tennis courts, bocce and shuffleboard areas, and 3 pools and a whirlpool. Activities and Events are scheduled regularly and are posted on the BaywindsLife©’s calendar.

Homeowners and residents of Heron Cove can actively participate in the Baywinds’ Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Citizen Observer Patrol (COP) programs.  These programs are sponsored by local government agencies. Homeowners and residents are encouraged to join these programs.

The Heron Cove BaywindsLife© Directory is in process of being compiled for publication on the web.  Each homeowner/resident is encouraged to contact to Paul M. Helfgott to add/modify/delete Directory information or add E-mail addresses.  The main BaywindsLife© Directory on the web will reflect the changes too.  Please be free to contact Paul for further information.
