This LP uses the same recording as is found in the Deutsche Grammophon boxed set and Stockhausen Edition CD boxed set.
Although the sleeve notes state the recording was made on October 29th 1970 and the record labels give the durations as side A 22'15" and side B 19'50", listening to the LP has proved all these printed details to be wrong.
The actual durations of the Shandar LP are in fact 24'52 and 22'58 (exactly as in the original DG issue) and this wholly improvised music is identical throughout, confirming that the 1969 Darmstadt recording was used by Shandar for whatever reason.
