TrailRunner Tutorial
Managing Nike+iPod workouts
TrailRunner is a route planning and journalizing application for long distance sports. With TrailRunner you catalog, collect and rate your favorite trails for easy and spontaneous route planning.
TrailRunner documents contain digital background maps, way-points, tracks and routes. Together, tracks and way-points build a network of tracks. Using TrailRunner you can import workout courses from your Nike+iPod sports kit device and connect the workout data with a sketch of your accomplished route.
A route is a concatenated selection of tracks. You can layout routes manually or — for the next workout you plan — let TrailRunner calculate routes of a given distance for you. If you have rated your tracks with the famous "iTunes" rating stars, TrailRunner will always try to find routes for you that have the highest star-rating.
This tutorial describes the techniques and tools you need to import workouts from your Nike+iPod sport kit.
Please note: This Tutorial is just a quick guide on the import process. To learn how to create routes, read the QuickGuide to TrailRunner tutorial first.

An Import pane will show up in the bottom left corner of the main window depicting the last workout data.

For the Last Workout, select a route from the upper list of routes that corresponds to the course of the workout.
If you have not yet created any routes, stop this tutorial here and first read the QuickGuide to TrailRunner tutorial.

Press the Import Button. The Diary window will now open automatically and the workout is now stored inside TrailRunner own workout database.
Please note that TrailRunner adapt the workout data to the real world distance you have set by connecting the workout with the route.
Please note that TrailRunner will import workouts only once. If a workout is already detected (by date) in the diary the import is being ignored.

This is all you need to know about importing the last workout. If you want to
change the assigned route of a workout to a different one or want to assign routes to previous workouts

In the main window, create a route or select a route you want to assign the workout to.
Back in the diary window, open the action menu and select the Replace attached route command.
